VINS Weekend Programs this Winter

From November 1 to April 30, Quechee Gorge Tours (weather permitting) or Guided Snowshoe Nature Treks (snow permitting) will be offered at the VINS Nature Center on Route 4 in Quechee at 12 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Join a VINS naturalist for an exciting hike into Vermont's "Little Grand Canyon" to learn about the geological and glacial history of one of Vermont's greatest natural wonders or snow permitting, strap on your snowshoes and join a VINS naturalist to explore the banks of the Ottauquechee River in search of animal signs and tracks, learn about animal hibernation, how to identify trees in winter, and the science of snow. Free with admission to the VINS Nature Center which is $8 for adults and $6.50 for children ages 3-16. Snowshoes can be rented at the VINS Nature Store for $5 a pair. Free hot cider available in the VINS Nature Store at the end of the hikes.
