Green, Director of Marketing, lgreen@vinsweb.org, (802) 457-2779 ext. 107 VINS OFFERS GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP FOR EDUCATORS Woodstock, VT - VINS will be offering a grant writing workshop for educators on January 28 - 29, 2005 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the VINS Headquarters in Woodstock, VT. Participants will work with VINS grant writers to develop their ideas and learn about the elements of a good grant proposal so that they leave the workshop with the skills and tools necessary to apply for grants through foundations and other organizations. Participants will also receive resources on grant writing, a list of grant programs for schools, reimbursement for mileage, and lunch and refreshments. Registration fee is $30. In addition, all workshop participants will be encouraged to apply for Environmental Citizenship Mini-Grants available through VINS. The deadline for Mini-Grant applications is February 25, 2005. VINS is also considering holding a Vernal Pools Teacher Workshop in late February or early March. This would be a one-day workshop where participants would receive the VINS educational unit, "Vernal Pools: Life in Temporary Ponds". Please contact Kim Jensen at kjensen@vinsweb.org if interested.
