VINS TO CELEBRATE THE GORGE WITH WEEKEND OF NATURE ACTIVITIES JULY 24 & 25

Quechee, VT ˆ  Join VINS for an exciting weekend, July 24 & 25, 2004, at Vermont's "Little Grand Canyon". At 180 feet deep and nearly 3/4 of a mile long, the Quechee Gorge is one of the state's greatest natural wonders, providing the ideal backdrop to explore the geological and glacial history of Vermont. Throughout the July 24-25 weekend, VINS naturalists will lead several hikes into the Gorge as well as provide a host of various activities and displays about geology and the unique natural abundance of wildlife, plants and trees found on and near the Quechee Gorge. All Gorge hikes and activities are free with admission to the VINS Nature Center, which is $8 for adults and $6.50 for children. VINS members are admitted free.  VINS also provides group and senior discounts.
