FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) signs contract with the Winooski Valley Park District to deliver VINS Nature Camp Programs at the Ethan Allen Homestead in Burlington, VT.
Quechee, VT March 14, 2008 The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) has signed a contract with the Winooski Valley Park District to deliver VINS Nature Camp Programs at the Ethan Allen Homestead in Burlington, VT.
Our relationship with the Park District is a great example of how VINS is working with other community organizations to bring its conservation message to more communities throughout Vermont, stated John Dolan, President of the Vermont Institute of Natural Science. Having camp experiences for children on the beautiful Ethan Allen site will provide a wonderful setting for them to explore nature.
We are pleased VINS Campers will discover all the Homestead has to offer. This park includes two wetlands boardwalks, a river and stream, fields, forest and floodplain. Ethan and Fanny's restored frontier farmhouse adds to the conservation message, exclaimed Jennifer Ely, General Manager, Winooski Valley Park District. [VINS] camps are very well regarded and offer new experiences for the children in our area.
The Vermont Institute of Natural Science is providing 10 weeks of VINS Nature Camps for children in first through sixth grades at Ethan Allen Homestead. Some of the camp programs include Animal Superheroes, Earth Explorers, Winged Wonders, Eco-Adventurers and River Time.
