VINS Conservation Biologist Dr. Rosalind Renfrew, during a research trip to South America, made a pioneering discovery of massive flocks of Bobolinks -- upwards of 150,000 birds. But she also discovered potential risks to the energetic songbirds, which are among the most welcome visitors to farms and fields across Vermont.
VINS has contracted Vermont author and naturalist Bryan Pfeiffer to write a feature-length article about Dr. Renfrew's explorations. The article can be used in its current form, edited with the byline removed, or serve as a foundation for enterprise work by another reporter. Click here for the full article.
