Suggestions and Reminders for ELF Coordinators

ELF Day is coming right up! Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the VINS Bragdon Preserve in Woodstock, VT (Please note the change in location!). Download a flyer here (doc file) and RSVP by May 19!

Once again, on May 20, 2006, VINS will be hosting Bird-a-thon. This is a great way to get outdoors AND raise money for the ELF program at your school. For details, please see the Bird-a-thon insert in the Spring, 2006 issue of Vermont Nature, VINS' quarterly newsletter.

Many schools produce ELF newsletters or have an "ELF Corner" in the regular school newsletter. What a great idea! To help coordinators that are interested in doing that, we have made some templates that you can use as a starting point. Please check out some possibilities here or find links on the webpage for each ELF unit.

ELF acceptance letters will be sent out by mid-month.

ELF scholarships may be awarded to towns in need that have requested financial assistance.

ELF certificates will be provided by VINS for coordinators to sign (hand out in May).
