Suggestions and Reminders for ELF Coordinators

Many schools produce ELF newsletters or have an "ELF Corner" in the regular school newsletter. What a great idea! To help coordinators that are interested in doing that, we have made some templates that you can use as a starting point. Please check out some possibilities here or find links on the webpage for each ELF unit.

Make reminder calls to volunteers about the January workshop!

ELF applications for the 2006-07 school year will be mailed out in early February and are due back to VINS by March 24th. Please make sure your ELF trainer has your correct address so the application reaches you. The application may soon be downloaded as a pdf file from a link at the bottom of the ELF Volunteer page.

For those of you working in a city or urban environment, we have now included teaching suggestions for use in those areas, too. Find them in with the regular teaching suggestions for each unit.

You may want to post an updated copy of the spring semester's workshop topics in the teachers' lounge, or copy for teachers' mailboxes.

Now is the time to think about recruiting volunteers for next year! You might invite a friend to an upcoming workshop.
