VINS Raptor Facts
The VINS Nature Center is home to the largest avian wildlife rehabilitation facility in Vermont. Each year our department takes in 300-600 birds from all over the state, with as many as 80 at a time!
.
In 2012, VINS treated 387 birds (including 61 raptors), we released 53% of our patients back into the wild, and performed more than 4,400 treatment-days of care. To find out more about the birds we treat – visit the VINS Nature Blog.
