Bald Eagle
The Bald Eagle—a national emblem
signifying the spirit of freedom
VINS Silent Auction, July 3& 4

A Spirit of Freedom, Our Own Bald Eagle
Our national bird is the only eagle unique to North America, ranging from Alaska and Canada to northern Mexico. At one time “bald” meant white, not hairless. From 1967 to 1995, the bald eagle had been listed as endangered. Recently, their status has been upgraded to “threatened” by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

VINS Silent Auction
VINS will be holding a silent auction on July 3 & 4, in celebration of Independence Day. The bidding process will take place in our Nature Store, from 9am - 5:30pm on Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4.

Ed Gilman, a collector of Eagle artwork from Rutland, VT, has donated over 40 items of Eagle art collectables to VINS. The artwork is extraordinary and comes in many different ways. From bronze sculptures, water color designs to Lenox porcelain dishes; this collection is one of a kind.

The fundraiser is to support VINS and Wildlife services.
