Avian patients present special challenges in rehab due to their highly-varied anatomy, specialized feeding behaviors, temperaments, and nature of injury. Specimens* will be used to illustrate how to conduct a thorough but brief initial exam, set up proper critical care housing based on species & injury, reduce stress, and identify & address life-threatening conditions. Workshop includes: lecture with PowerPoint presentation and hands-on lab.
