Feeding Time & Tour Schedule*
Ever wonder what we feed all the different animals here at VINS? Or how we keep our residents healthy and happy? Join us at “Feeding Time” for an exploration of what we give to eat, how we prepare it and observe our residents eating their daily meal. From amphibians as small as gray tree frogs, to reptiles like our wood turtle, to birds as large as eagles, you’ll discover what it takes to care for all of these unique and wonderful creatures.

Turtle 10:15 - 10:45 | Nature Nook
Critter Feeding Time

Join us in the Nature Nook as we feed and care for our native wetland species. From frogs to fish, you’ll discover how we provide good homes to all kinds of critters.
Turtle 10:30 - 11:00 | Classroom
Turtle Time

Meet the oldest of VINS’ shelled ambassadors. Learn what kinds of food we feed our wood turtle and observe her as she takes a walk.

Raptor Enclosure Guided Tour

In this guided walk through our enclosures, we’ll share all kinds of insider information with you. From design and upkeep to the natural history of our resident raptors, you’ll learn how we provide a high quality of life for all of our residents. Saturdays and Sundays only.

Watch as we feed and care for some of the most adorable reptiles we have here at VINS  our young painted turtles.

Corn Snake Feeding Time

Snakes have an amazing way of eating without arms or legs. Join us as we feed our corn snakes their weekly meal. Saturdays only.

If you’ve ever wondered what we feed our resident raptors, now is your chance to find out. We’ll show you what we feed, how we prepare it and then you can watch as our raptors eat their daily meal.
