Unravel the wonders of the natural world in this series of programs designed specifically for homeschooling families. Join a VINS educator to foster your child’s curiosities about the natural world through engaging, hands-on activities.

February 13* – Astronomy: Looking to the Stars: Experience the night sky and delve into the mysteries of space. Learn about planets, stars and galaxies as we explore the world beyond the horizon. Register »

*Note: This class takes place at night, from 6:30-8:00pm, and will happen under
clear or cloudy skies.

April 10 – Wind and Clouds: Become a detective as we learn to read the clues in the sky that predict the weather. Make a cloud of your own, feel the power of the wind and make your own weather vane to take home. Register »

April 24 – Solar Power: Journey to the center of the solar system to explore the power of the sun. This brilliant star makes it possible for life to exist on earth. Learn how the sun’s light is critical for plants and animals alike, and how we can harness the sun’s energy to power parts of our daily lives. Register »

May 1 – Sound Symphony: Investigate the world of sound though experiments, activities and games. Learn how different animals hear and the important role that sound plays in our environment. Register »
