.
Join author Alvin Breisch and illustrator Matt Patterson for a discussion of their new book, The Snake and the Salamander. The book offers a beautiful collection of natural history writing and art, and introduces readers to the often underappreciated world of snakes, turtles, salamanders, and frogs. Together, the author and illustrator have created portraits of 83 reptile and amphibian species of the Northeast, both in the words that draw readers into the behavior and biology of each creature and in the colorful illustrations that set these amazing animals against their natural backdrop. So bring your book and your questions with you. Afterwards, both the Author and Illustrator will sign books. Copies of The Snake and the Salamander, will be available for sale at the VINS Nature Store.
