30th Annual VINS Birdathon
May 10-17, 2008

Anyone. Anywhere. Any bird.

Thank you to all those who participated in the 30th Annual VINS Birdathon in May. Over 130 different species of birds were identified, with the Blue Jay and Black-capped Chickadee as the most frequently spotted birds.

Didn't get a chance to participate? That's okay! You can still purchase a one-of-a-kind 30th Annual VINS Birdathon t-shirts at the VINS Nature Store in Quechee (available for a limited time only).

Be sure to check with VINS next spring for details about the 31st Annual VINS Birdathon (2009).

What is Birdathon?

Each spring, VINS invites community members nation-wide to be a part of a long-standing tradition—VINS Birdathon!

Birdathon is like a walkathon. Participants collect pledges for every bird species they identify instead of every mile they walk. It's a FUN way to raise funds for VINS' efforts in bird rehabilitation and education programs. And it's great way to learn the bird species that co-inhabit our environment. Expert, novice or backyard birder—anyone can participate!
