What senses do wild animals depend upon for survival? Campers will discover many of the natural world's secrets through activities that engage all their senses. Animal Superheros Across the animal kingdom, creatures use incredible feats of strength, endurance and speed. Explore the amazing adaptations these animals possess to detect prey, attract mates and fend off evil foes. Through quests and secret maps, we will discover some of the amazing animals, plants, and gems that Vermonters treasure. July 7th 11th Aug. 11th 15th Theater in the Wild Storyteller, naturalist and drama educator Chris Coyote Man Hayes will lead campers on a five day adventure that includes creative storytelling, nature-awareness walks, games and movement. Join us for an in-depth raptor investigation that goes beyond the basics. We'll study the ecology, biology and behavior of raptors through up-close experiences and habitat observations. Canoe a stretch of a local waterway, wade along the shore, and peer under rocks to look for signs of animals that call our rivers home. Looking for a meaningful summer experience especially designed for teenagers? Consider applying for a Junior Counselor position. Participants learn important skills that teach responsibility, caring for others and fostering positive attitudes towards the natural world.
