Peeps: For children ages 4-6, including those entering kindergarten The Peeps program is designed to introduce early learners to the wonders of the natural world through a variety of hands-on, play-based activities including crafts, music, storytelling, and role-playing. Learn about the creatures that live under the bark of dead trees, in cold rivers, brooks and ponds, and in the highest branches of the white pines.  June 16th – 20th July 7th – 11th July 28th – Aug. 1st Aug. 18th – 22nd The Circles of Life Explore the amazing cycles that occur in our natural word. From caterpillars to butterflies, tadpoles to frogs and seeds to trees, learn how we are all connected! June 23rd – 27th July 14th – 18th Aug. 4th – 8th Sense-Sational! New for 2008!!! What senses do wild animals depend upon for survival? Campers will discover many of the natural world's secrets through activities that engage all their senses. Search to find what flies, crawls, sings, swims and grows here at camp! Each day will bring a new adventure filled with activities, crafts and games. June 16th – 20th July 21st – July 25th Winged Wonders Experience the ins and outs of flight from the birds, bats, and bugs that soar and swoop through our world. Meet the feathered experts and search for critters that keep our yards buzzing. June 23rd – 27th Aug. 4th – 8th 
Animal Superheros Across the animal kingdom, creatures use incredible feats of strength, endurance and speed. Explore the amazing adaptations these animals possess to detect prey, attract mates and fend off evil foes. June 30th – July 3rd (4/day camp due to holiday) * July 14th – 18th Aug. 18th – 22nd Hidden Treasures of Vermont New for 2008!!! Come with us on a wild treasure hunt! Through quests and secret maps, we will discover some of the amazing animals, plants, and gems that Vermonters treasure. July 7th – 11th Aug. 11th – 15th Theater in the Wild Storyteller, naturalist and drama educator Chris “Coyote Man” Hayes will lead campers on a five day adventure that includes creative storytelling, nature-awareness walks, games and movement. Join us for an in-depth raptor investigation that goes beyond the basics. We'll study the ecology, biology and behavior of raptors through up-close experiences and habitat observations. June 16th – 20th July 7th – 11th Aug. 4th – 8th River Time Learn about the watery world of the river and its shores. Canoe a stretch of a local waterway, wade along the shore, and peer under rocks to look for signs of animals that call our rivers home. Join us for VINS' version of Survivor! Learn to build shelters from natural materials, create fire from friction, and develop other wilderness survival skills. Aug. 11th – 15th Theater in the Wild Storyteller, naturalist and drama educator Chris “Coyote Man” Hayes will lead campers on a five day adventure that includes creative storytelling, nature-awareness walks, games and movement. There is an artist in each of us. Come foster that artistic flame by learning how nature inspires art by meeting local artists and creating their own works of art. Looking for a meaningful summer experience especially designed for teenagers? Consider applying for a Junior Counselor position. Participants learn important skills that teach responsibility, caring for others and fostering positive attitudes towards the natural world. Applications accepted from February 1, 2008 through April 15, 2008. Dates: - All summer beginning the week of June 16th through the week of August 18th.
