Private Educational Viewings for Artists and Photographers For a donation, it is possible to arrange a special educational photographing session of the birds used in our education programs. The program birds are trained to the gloved hand and are presented by a bird handler. Only VINS trained handlers may handle any birds.

Individual Photo Session:

• $100 donation per hour
  
• Minimum of one-hour photo shoot
  
• Maximum of two-hour photo session

Group Photo Session:

• $200 donation per hour per group of up to 5 people
  
• Minimum of one-hour photo shoot
  
• Maximum of two-hour photo session

• Reservations must be made a minimum of 14 days in advance.
• Photographers must stay at least six feet away from the birds at all times.
• Birds are presented only on the handler's glove
  
• If a bird seems unduly stressed, it will be withdrawn from viewing. Another bird, possibly of another species, may be substituted at the discretion of VINS personnel.
• The availability of a particular bird or species cannot be guaranteed, since the welfare of the bird is our primary consideration.
• You will be contacted within 5 working days by email or phone to confirm your session.
• Donations should be made at the time of the photo session by check and go for the care and husbandry of the program and exhibit birds at the VT Institute of Natural Science.
