WILDLIFE SERVICES STAFF

Allison Stark
Director

Allison started at VINS in January 2005. Allison grew up in Newport, NH. She has her BS degree in Zoology from the University of NH.

While in college, Allie did a summer internship at The Center For Wildlife in York, Maine & found out rehab was “her calling”. After graduation from college, she took a 6-month internship at VINS in 1996 doing rehab, public education and permanent resident care. Allison then moved to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin to work full-time at The Wildlife In Need Center caring for over 3000 injured, ill and orphaned mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians per year. After 3 years, she became the Animal Care Director, and worked there an additional 4 ½ years before moving back to the area to work at VINS again.

Allison has extensive experience training volunteers and has written a baby bird feeding and care manual. She holds her own federal bird rehab permit and successfully completed the IWRC Basic Wildlife Rehabilitation Skills, WBS Captive Management seminar, and (IWRC) International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council & (NWRA) National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association rehabilitation workshops.
